Dhrubajyoti Das

I am a first year PhD student at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia. I am a member of the Allergy Research Group and affiliated with the Centre for Immunology and Infection Control as well as the QUT Centre for Robotics.
My doctoral research focuses on identifying and monitoring flowering events in subtropical and temperate Australian grasses using computer vision and deep learning. This work aims to improve pollen forecasting, advance aerobiology, and support public health outcomes for allergic rhinitis and asthma sufferers. I am very fortunate to be supervised by Professor Janet Davies (School of Biomedical Sciences), Professor Michael Milford (School of Electrical Engineering and Robotics), and Dr. Andelija Milic (School of Biomedical Sciences).
Prior to joining QUT, I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Premier University, Chattogram, Bangladesh. I hold an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) and Premier University respectively.
